Hi and rockin`regards from Germany! My name is Daniel, I`m thirty years old and the owner of the belowed pictured Rekord P1. It is a 1960 two door limousine with a 1700ccm engine and 60hp. I restored the car in about two and a half years and put nearly 21.000 Euro in it! It is lowered on the front axle (-45mm) and fixed with yellow Koni shock absorbers from the Rekord C. The engine is reworked and optical finished with a couple of chrome parts, including the valve lid. Electric has been updated to 12 Volts! All emblems and side-moldings have been removed. Interieur was completly new sewed with two coloured brown and beige imitation leather. In the glove compartment works a Clarion MP3 Radio. So on cruise, I´m able to listen to my confederate Rockabily music, yee-hah :-) The car was also titled on the German Opel-Flash-Scene Magazine in May`06 as "Rock`n`Rekord"! Have a look at it! In further future I plan to put some 13" Cragar SS rims on it and the rear axle has to be lowered too. Furthermore I play with the thought, to put a 2Ltr. 16V engine in the front. We will see!
